Selene

Yay its done!! Started this not even a week ago and its done~ which means now I need 5 more of these then I can finally draw something else

But for now I need to keep amercing myself in Greek myths till I come up with five more pictures for my portfolio…feel free to give me any suggestions (after I finish one I usually have what im gonna do next in my head…not this time…)

So this is Selene, goddess of the moon (if you hadn’t put two and two together yet)
I’m happy and sorta not happy with how this came out, the grass is a little ‘iffy’ but I didn’t wanna use the grass brush for this….but yeah xD beside this I’m happy with how Selene and the guy came out~

Ok so her story in a nutshell:
Selene rides around on her chariot being goddess of the moon, but then one day she spots a shepherd and falls madly in love with him, but he’s mortal so he’ll eventually die and she don’t want that, she then goes to Zeus asking for his help, so he then puts the man in an internal slumber so he’ll never age, cause that’s how aging works. Also, apparently they had 50 children so says the national geographic book I got the story from. And my friend, who knows a lot more about Greek mythology then I do. She said it was sorta like date rape xD
